Please review the following policy and contract for piano sessions. All students are required to bring a signed copy of the form to their first lesson. A printable version of this form can be downloaded by clicking Download Policy & Contract Form. If you have any questions regarding the form please contact me at 816-637-3507 or online via Contact.
Standard lessons are 30 minutes, Premier lessons are 45 minutes. Littles (age 5-7) are special; discuss length with Ms. Dorothy. Your time is reserved for you; there are no refunds for missed lessons.
Fees for the month are due on your first lesson of the month. Payment for music purchased the previous month is also due at that time. Payment is delinquent after the 10th; the late payment fee is $15.00 each week if tuition is not paid by the 10th. Checks which do not clear have an additional fee of $25.00.
If you need a different lesson time one week, please call or e-mail in advance to reschedule. Please give as much notice as possible so that I may offer your time as a makeup opportunity. Should I have to cancel, I will do my best to reschedule at your convenience. Forgetting is not an excuse.
There are still piano lessons; if you feel you cannot make it, please call and I will try to reschedule.
Should a student decide NOT to continue lessons, a month's notice MUST be given.
Theory, learning books, technic and fun music is available for purchase in the studio. You pay only what I paid for it, including the tax, but no fee for postage or gas. I will loan music which has been donated to me as much as possible. If you damage or lose that music, you are responsible to pay the replacement cost. Christmas music is available for loan and/or purchase or as a Christmas gift from me to you. You are welcome to bring music you have.
Students are to bring their assignment book (a spiral-bound notebook available in the studio) and all current music including the theory/workbook/notespeller to each lesson. Please make every effort to be prompt.
Please drive as far forward towards the alley in my driveway as the traffic allows in order for students following your lesson time to get off the street.
