Rose was a zebra to entertain the residents of ES Nursing. She turned her head mask around while performing so that the zebra appeared to be watching them! Rose performed “Ghost Dance” for the program.
Colt entertains the residents of Excelsior Nursing with “Cool Ghouls”.
Rowan as Doc Holiday from Tombstone performed two pieces for the program. They were “Five Little Pumpkins” and “A Scream on Halloween.” The residents loved the screams where Rowan smacked the keys on the piano with his hand! Very entertaining, Rowan!
Kate, the beautiful witch, performed two pieces for the residents of Excelsior Nursing on October 26, 2019. The first was “A Little Night Music” by Mozart and the second “Things That Go Bump in the Night”! Well done, Kate.
Champion performed “Witches on Broomsticks” to entertain the residents of Excelsior Nursing on Oct. 26, 2019. He studies piano at Dorothy’s Piano Studio and this was his first program!
Ellie as Mr. Top Hat performing “Creeping Footsteps” for the residents of Excelsior Nursing on October 26th. Not only did her piece cover the entire range of the piano, she also had it memorized! Great performance, Ellie!!
Katelin performed “October Morning” on piano for the residents at Excelsior Nursing on October 26th. It was such a good costume that I didn’t recognize her! Thanks for nailing your piece and your outfit!
Dylan has progressed through sight reading, accomplishing four measures at each piano lesson. He can also play random notes correctly each week, showing that he recognizes the notes and can locate them on the piano.
Congrats, Dylan!
Georgia chose to improvise a song called Monster Mash-Up this week and it is good! She also was the only student to correctly match rhythm to autumn sayings. Could you write one measure of 4/4 rhythm to match these words “Wind is blowing the leaves on the ground”? She did 10 of these perfectly!
She also wrote her own original song “Cat’s Pumpkin Rumble” which she will play at our Halloween program at Excelsior Nursing next Saturday, October 26th at 10:30. What a week! I love teaching piano to students like Georgia!!
