Recital day for Henry

Henry has earned his first piano exam trophy! He will be performing this evening at our spring piano recital at First Methodist Church at 6:30. Congratulations, Henry!

Layton completes beginning Muscle Builders

Layton has learned and can play his pentatonic scales, arpeggios and block chords which qualifiers him to earn his first trophy and certificate! Way to go Layton; we are so proud of you! Layton will be performing this Friday at 6:30 at First Methodist Church along with several other students.
Jason earns trophy

Congratulations to Jason on earning his second trophy in the Piano Exams! Jason will be performing on video this Friday for the piano recital so he received his ribbon and trophy early.
Vandon joins One Minute Club!

Vandon can recognize all the notes on the grand staff in less than one minute. This earns him the right to be a member of the One Minute Club. Way to go Vandon; we are proud of you!
Allie has perfect worksheets

For the second time this year, Allie has had the most perfect worksheets; this time for the Spring session. Congratulations Allie for doing consistently great work and turning them in every lesson. We are proud of you!
Henry reaches 3rd level in One Minute Club!

Henry recognizes all his major and minor keys by the key signatures in 44 seconds! This is awesome Henry. Congratulations; so proud of you!
May 2023 Newsletter

We are preparing for our Spring Recital! It is Friday, May 26 at First United Methodist Church, 1650 Rainbow Blvd. in Excelsior Springs. All are welcome and there is no cost. Students will dress up and perform from memory. Invitations are available now.
We are working on awards to be presented at the recital, recognizing notes, executing correct rhythm, identifying music symbols, playing scales, chords and their inversions and perfecting our performance piece.
We are presenting a “Flag Day” program for the residents of Aspire Senior Living on Saturday, June 10th. Many students are performing patriotic numbers (with music) and their recital pieces can also be chosen.
Summer break is June 15th to August 1st. Tuition for June is one-half and no tuition in July. If you are not returning in August, please let me know during summer break.
Reminder: Piano exams May 15th, invitations available for the recital any time, awards, ribbons and trophies at the recital, compliment cards lesson following, Flag Day program June 10th.
