Emily can recognize all the notes on the grand staff and name them in 40 seconds! This qualifies her to join the One Minute Club. Now we continue on the adding ledger line notes and notes with sharps and flats. She is doing so well that she will soon master the second level. Congrats, Emily!
Harmony at her first piano lesson. She has just turned six years old. Doesn’t she have the perfect musical name? Her grandma also takes piano lessons at Dorothy’s Piano Studio.
Christina receives another award for practicing another 100 days without missing a single day! She keeps track with stars each day and she’s running out of stars! Faithful practice sure does improve performance; great job, Chris.
Clara has completed Piano Pronto’s Prelude Power Pages which is a workbook corresponding with her Prelude book of songs. Congrats, Clara, on a job well done!
Evelynn is excited to begin learning to play the piano at Dorothy’s Piano Studio. Evelynn is age six. Her mother plays the violin and they can learn to play duets together. We are excited to have her!! Welcome, Evelynn!
Keyboard Merits is April 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please come 5 minutes before your scheduled time. It is virtually in the studio with only the student and the adjudicator present. Your critique and score will be given you at your next piano lesson.
Our recital is outdoors this year in the parking lot of the Presbyterian Church across from the high school. It will be on Friday, May 21st starting at 5:00 p.m. in the evening and each performance will last about 10-15 minutes. Four families will perform for you and receive their ribbons and trophies; you may honk your horns and cheer for them. Groups will be scheduled every 30 minutes. No invitations, compliment cards or reception this year.
Summer lesson schedule remains the same unless you need to switch. Next holiday is Memorial Day on May 31st – no piano lessons that day.
