Thank you to all who participated in the virtual Christmas program for our senior citizens. Mackenzie and Courtney Cole put everything together and sent to the nursing homes and we owe them A HUGE THANK YOU! The program is on my website in the “gallery” if you missed it. Parents, thank you for helping with their Christmas outfits and listening to the hours of practice to get it perfect!
The music essay with the theme “Music…is a Storyteller” is due online January 10th. Open to students in grades 7-12; prize is $75.
Anyone under age 19 can participate in writing a musical themed poem. Five winners of $100 each; deadline online is February 1st.
We are preparing for piano exams by learning how to make and play chords this month. Advanced students are choosing pieces to play for the judge. Exams will be early in May; hoping for a spring Recital.
No holidays from piano this month. If my street is untreated, I will notify you so that we can have a virtual lesson.
